Event Categorisation Update (Part 2)
Hello!
Here's an important wiki update when it comes to the event categories:
- All events except for and Rising events are now considered as regular events. Even though, some events like being very scuffed or any Twitch Rivals events having a condensed format, this change is to make the events more inclined to Noxcrew's approach to events.
- The guidelines are now re-written as follows:
- Regular - these events involve the some or all of the main roster of the event. These events include numbered events, one-off events and event series, with the exceptions of and Rising events. All statistics are considered for this type of events, including averages, etc.

Player Status Categorisation Update

With the increase of special events for this season's of MC Championship, the MCC Wiki has revised the player status categories to accommodate this change.
Our main change from this update is that statuses no longer depend on the event category. This has become apparent with the amount of events in the special category being high, without any "normal" events like . So, starting from the previous event, , categories are now classified as follows:
- Recurring - players in this category would have played in the last 5 events that involved some or all of the main roster. They would also have appeared at least twice in any event.
- Inactive - players in this category would have played in the last 10 events that involved some or all of the main roster,…

Event Categorisation Update

As with the recent event as well as Noxcrew not separating events officially any more, the MCC wiki has decided to do a change in regard to how the events would be categorised from this point onwards.
Starting from today, all events are now considered as either regular or special. This was the naming system used before May 2022 to categorise events. These events will now have criteria in regard to how the events are considered. These are as follows:
- Regular events - these events follow the typical MC Championship format. All statistics are considered for this type of events, including averages, etc.

I've been made aware of some posts on social media regarding the recent announcement that Wolfy made about two particular players (George and Punz) pages on the wiki.
With those concerns and posts, I would like to re-iterate on reasons as to why we did this in the first place.
- MCC Wiki is a wiki about the Minecraft tournament, MC Championship. While off-topic fun facts are fine in player pages, we do not want to discuss or mention controversies (such as the ones that are currently developing) that are happening for certain players. As you have all been aware, there is currently a controversy surrounding a MCC player, Illumina, who announced his departure in content creation recently. With this controversy roaming around, we would like to not discuss it any further or have any explicit (outright telling what the controversy is) mention it in any of wiki pages or any discussion platform related to the MCC Wiki, as it will be triggering to some people and that we want the wiki to focus on MCC itself. With the upcoming canon event and ending off the season, there may be some concerns in regards to the statuses of each player in this event and the next season. So, let's talk about them in full detail:
- For this event (), the player categorisation will count past canon events only. That is:
- To qualify for recurring status, a player must participate any event in to , or . do not count as it is a half-canon event.

Event Page Vandalism and References

Recently, there has been a surge of vandalism and misinformation insertion throughout the MC Championship Wiki, from multiple accounts (which is suspected to be from a socksuppeter - a person who block evades another blocked account) ranging from the event page and individual competitors' pages. As with this, there will now be a protection policy that will be written in accordance to these, as follows:
- Recent event pages (such as MC Championship 24) will now be semi-protected until the end of the event. That means that any registered user who has been registered for at least 4 days will be eligible to edit. That also means that the next event page, will be created with the protection in place.

So as you may have heard, 2 weeks ago, we lost a legend at MC Championship, a member of the good old SBI, a member of the Dream SMP, a inspiration to many and a friend. That person was Technoblade.
After me and Due heard the news, we have talked on Discord about doing a tribute to him at the MCC Wiki Twitter account and on the Wiki as well. (Which he did a tribute as well on his channel aka MCC Live Show.)

MCC Wiki Accuracy Check (Q2 2022)
Hello all,
As there were some compliants about the wiki being inaccurate and having some mistakes. (from MCC Discord and many other places) It has been decided that there would be a quarterly check of all the information on the wiki, starting from today until the end of next month. In addition to this, I have attached a link to a form that will allow you to submit any inaccuracies and mistakes that we might not have caught during this check.

As you might not have been aware of, there was an edit war that happened a couple of hours ago, particularly on Dream's page, in regards to his sexuality and categorising him in the LGBTQ+ Players category. At first, I, myself, was misunderstood about the edits that were happening at that time, hence the undos that were made prior to the addition.
