CaptainSparklez is a recurring competitor in MC Championship. He is best known for his Minecraft content, including his collaborations, music videos, and more. He was the original vault hunter on the Vault Hunters SMP and has played on various SMPs including Mianite and Shady Oaks SMP.
He is also one of four players (the others being InTheLittleWood, AntVenom, and FalseSymmetry[1]) who participated in the Noxcrew Gameshow, being in the sixth episode of the pilot season.
He has competed in every regular event since MCC 1. He got his first ever win in MCC 22. He has since won in MCC 28, MCC TR and MCC HH.

Trivia
- He is currently roommates with fellow player, Kara Corvus. In late August 2023, they moved to a house.
- He is sometimes jokingly called Jardon Maroon.
- He was featured in episode 6 of Minecraft: Story Mode "A Portal to Mystery", with DanTDM and LDShadowLady.
- He always misspelled the tournament's name as "Minecraft Championship" instead of its official name of "MC Championship".
- He got his first win in MCC 22, becoming the longest-playing participant to go without winning.
- This is the first time his team finished 1st overall, with all of his other Dodgebolt appearances prior being on 2nd place teams.
- He made the final Dodgebolt shot in the first and the final round.
- His teammates gave him the honor of making the final shot.
- This team also became the first and only team to defeat Dream in Dodgebolt, ending his 4-0 unbeaten streak.
- After his victory, he reacted to every MCC 22 player's reaction to him winning.
- A few days later, he, while again teamed with Purpled, won Minedraft 3 NA Twitch Rivals.
- Michaelmcchill, King Burren, Krinios and Kara Corvus like to annoy him with the punching sound effect by punching his character before the event starts.
- He is known for the "Captain's Curse", a curse where, from MCC 3 onwards, his teams would frequently come 3rd place, missing out on 2nd place and Dodgebolt by small point margins (the margin of 138 coins in MCC 7 being the smallest difference until MCC 25). His teams have placed 3rd in 9 events, the longest streak being 3 events in a row.
- He finally came 2nd place in MCC 15 for the first time in 12 events, with the Yellow Yaks. Despite everyone (except Sylvee, Wilbur Soot, and some of the Noxcrew) supporting them for his first win, they lost 3-0 in Dodgebolt to the Red Rabbits.
- He got 3rd place twice more, in MCC 18 and MCC 20, both while teamed with Ranboo.
- In the event after he won, MCC 23, his team came 3rd place again.
- Although he is best known for his team coming in 3rd place, he tied with Kratzy, PeteZahHutt, and Vikkstar123 as the first player to reach Dodgebolt twice. He was also the first player to reach (and lose) Dodgebolt back-to-back.
- He was part of a recurring team along with KaraCorvus, Krinios and Kratzy. They played as the Red Rabbits in MCC 4 and MCC 5 and as the Krimson Krakens in MCC 7 and MCC 21.
- In MCC 7, he played on Krinios' alt account called 'KaptainSparklez' to have his in-game name start with a K like his teammates (rather than just the K sound from 'Captain'), and to fit in with his team's nickname theme of the Kardashians.
- Due to this, his lifetime coins and stats did not transfer to his main account until MCC 8.
- In MCC 7, he played on Krinios' alt account called 'KaptainSparklez' to have his in-game name start with a K like his teammates (rather than just the K sound from 'Captain'), and to fit in with his team's nickname theme of the Kardashians.
- In MCC 12, he along with his teammates wore Technoblade skins, as that was the first event since his debut that Techno did not participate in.
- He has dressed up for most of the Halloween events, MCC 11, MCC 18, and MCC HH, both in-game and in real life.
- He has been on every team color as of MCC 25.
- He is the fifth person to do this, after Smajor1995, Kara Corvus, Shubble and Seapeekay.
- He and CaptainPuffy are tied for the most Skyblockle wins, at 2.
- Some death messages in the games reference his songs.
- In TGTTOSAWAF, the message "<player> pulled a Fallen Kingdom" is a reference to his Minecraft parody of "Viva la Vida" by Coldplay, titled "Fallen Kingdom".
- In Hole in the Wall, the message "<player> didn't go side to side, side side to side" references his Minecraft parody of "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" by Usher. The parody is titled "Revenge".
