Grid Runners Pro is a Bedrock Marketplace map, created by the Noxcrew, prior to MC Championship 16. This map is a sequel to another Noxcrew map, Grid Runners, which was released in 2018. (specifically during Minecon Earth 2018)
The map is a customisable competitive race map, designed for speedrunners and casual players alike. This map provides a ton of customisation and features, from rooms customisation, cosmetics, easter eggs and more.
The map has three main modes:
- Championship mode = a mode with six curated courses, including City, Dungeon, Mesa, Flower Forest, Gameshow and Master. The courses ranged from easy (City) to hard (Master)[1]
- Course selector = a mode that players can select favourite biomes, types of challenges and difficulty level of the course that they want to play. The course would then be randomly generated with those settings.[2]
- Course code entry = a mode that allows players to customise their own course, using the tiles provided.[3]
The course code (from two of the three modes - course selector and course code entry) can be shared amongst other players. These codes will generate the same rooms every time the same codes are used in the course code entry mode. A selected list of course codes can be found on the Noxcrew Twitter account.
The game in MC Championship, Grid Runners, is based on this map, but with rooms that are designed for four players in each team. The rooms in the event's version are designed to both test the players' skills as well as communication and problem-solving amongst the teams, while trying to complete each room (and subsequently, course) as fast as possible. The game first appeared in MC Championship 16, following the release of the map.
