Lockout Bingo is a former PVP/CTO game in MC Championship, as one of the original 8 games in MCC 1. It was replaced by a faster version of the game, Bingo But Fast in MCC 6.

Official Description[]

Based on the classic Minecraft mini-game of Bingo. Each team is given a grid of Minecraft items to craft. They must race each other to craft those items before their opponents take the coins rewarded for them.

After each successful craft, an item will reward less coins. After three different teams successfully craft an item, the item will ‘lockout’ and no more coins are awarded for subsequent crafts. Each team member gains coins for the items crafted.

Goal and Description[]

In Lockout Bingo, contestants are spawned onto a platform in the middle of a randomly generated survival map. They are given a 5x5 grid with 25 items. The goal is to acquire as many of these items as possible within the 12 minutes given total for the game.

Due to the aspect of the game taking place on a normal survival world, contestants must use their knowledge in acquiring resources for crafting the items on the bingo card. They can mine, chop, and kill for these materials as if it were a normal survival game. After a 1-minute grace period, contestants can start sabotaging their opponents by killing them with their swords, resetting their opponents back to spawn. However, no items can be received from death, allowing contestants to keep their items even if they meet the unfortunate face of death.

Coin Rewards[]

For each item on the bingo card:

  • 45 Coin for first team to complete
  • 30 Coin for second team to complete
  • 20 Coin for third team to complete
  • 10 Coin for fourth team to complete
  • 5 Coin for fifth team to complete
  • No coins are awarded for an item if five teams have already completed that item.

Trivia[]

  • The map is changed every time because it is a randomly generated survival map.
  • Because of the ability to quickly gain completions by simply killing other players and taking their items, the gamerule keepInventory was turned on after MCC 3 to prevent killing for any reason other than sabotaging the opponent's location.
  • Lockout Bingo was considered controversial due to its slower pace, which appeared to a large amount of viewers as boring. Because of this, in MCC 6, changes were made to Lockout Bingo, including its rename to Bingo But Fast. The update gave players enchanted iron tools at the start of the game, added a permanent saturation effect to deal with hunger, and adding a permanent speed 2 boost to pick up the pace in competitors' mobility.
  • This game was the first to be replaced.
