MC Championship 13 was the fourteenth event of MC Championship, which took place on December 12, 2020, at 8 PM GMT. This event was the last one for Season 1.

With the event being held in the festive season, this event was festive-themed, and players were required to wear festive skins.

Changes

MC Championship 13 - Update Video- Winter Holidays! (December 2020)

As this MCC took place in December, it was festive-themed.

• A festive overhaul of the hub and a present-sharing minigame between games
• Modifications to Parkour Tag's map and mechanics
• A snowy overhaul to Sands of Time
• A new Battle Box map based on Santa's Toy Factory
• A return to the overworld in Bingo But Fast
• A snowy makeover of Dodgebolt called Snowbolt
• Festive theming for all minigames

Trivia

• Wilbur was the only player to not wear a festive skin and was given a red "shame" sweater, with the words "SHAME" at the front and "GRUMP" at the back.
  • This would happen again in MCC 19.
• When the update video for MCC 13 was released, the admins joked that they would rig the Decision Dome so the last game chosen would Survival Games. The final vote came down to a tie between Survival Games and Big Sales at Build Mart, and the latter was randomly chosen to be played.
• MCC 13 suffered from multiple technical issues both from the events and the players.
  • Smajor1995 failed to teleport to Parkour Tag and was temporarily kicked from the server.
  • Fundy got stuck in the lobby for Parkour Tag.
  • While the players were voting for the seventh game, all of them and the Noxcrew members were kicked from the server when Illumina tried to create a Mega Chicken in the Decision Dome.
    • This was due to a bug that was triggered by any Aqua team creating a Mega Chicken, which would then be incorrectly named "Light Blue Chicken," exceeding Minecraft's name length limit of 16 characters (the string "Light Blue Chicken" contained 18). This was later fixed before MCC 14.
  • Wilbur Soot had his office computer crash.
  • Ludwig and Vixella got stuck behind an invisible wall in Ace Race.
  • Smallishbeans' shift key broke due to a water spillage.
  • The Sapphire Santas suffered intense lag during Battle Box.
  • The music played twice for Katherine Elizabeth and Mefs in round 2 of Battle Box.
  • One of the snowballs got stuck in a wall during Snowbolt.

Participation

• This event introduced just one new player, Ludwig.
  • This is the lowest number of new players introduced since MCC 7, which only introduced Sapnap.
  • This event marked the return of TheOrionSound who hasn't participated since MCC 6, Mefs who hasn't played since MCC 9, as well as LDShadowLady, Eret, and the Simmers who haven't played since MCC 10.
• This is the first time that SolidarityGaming was not present.
• This was the second event, after MCC 12, where Dream, GeorgeNotFound, and Sapnap (i.e. the Dream Team) were not teamed together, since their debuts.
  • Out of these events, this is the only MCC where none of them made it to Dodgebolt.

Statistics

• The Coral Carollers were the first team to play a perfect Battle Box, winning all 9 rounds and killing all 36 opponents.
  • They were the third team to win all 9 matches after the Blue Bats in MCC 3 and the Aqua Horses in MCC 5.
• This event has the lowest first place on the individual board (PeteZahHutt at 3164).
• This event also had the lowest scoring first place team at the time, the Teal Turkeys at 19,495 coins.
• The Red Reindeer were the lowest placing team that placed first in a game.
• The Sapphire Santas were the second team to ever be last in every game, after the Orange Ocelots in MCC 8.
• The Teal Turkeys were the second team to complete a reverse sweep in Dodgebolt against the Purple Penguins.
• This was the second event where the bottom four places (40th to 37th) were all occupied by players of the same team, the first time being in MCC 8.
