MC Championship 19 (also known as Winter Holiday Championship) was the twenty-third event of MC Championship. It took place on December 11, 2021 (8 PM GMT). This event was festive-themed, similarly to MCC 13.

Changes

MC Championship 19 - Update Video- Winter Holiday Championship (Dec 2021)

The update video, was released a day prior to the event, focusing on the festive theme of the event.

• The Main Hub as well as all the games had been decorated to match the festive theme of the event.
• The presents exchanging hub minigame was back from MCC 13, allowing competitors to give and receive presents that could influence the Decision Dome.
• The Decision Dome remix was brought back from MCC 13.
• The Santa's Slay map was back for Battle Box, with improved signs and map tweaks (including the presents' colours being changed for every match-up). It was also renamed as "Santa's Slay".
• The City Living map was back for Survival Games as Snowy Living, with snow and festive decorations scattered around the map. Snowballs could also be found around the map as well.
  • Airdrops would now take much longer to drop to the ground.
  • The game's coins were also adjusted, with 180 coins for each airdrop break, 65 coins for kills and a slight reduction for team placements coins.
• The Wall in the Cold map was back for Hole in the Wall, this time named "Scott's Grotto". The jingle walls were also back as well.
• Big Sales at Build Mart had some festive-themed builds, as well as replacing the Sands section with the Snows section, with blocks such as snow, snow layers and packed ice.
• Sands of Time was renamed to "Snows of Time" with its snow-themed map, with a difference of the map being much darker to help increase the visibility of the snow blocks used for the timer.
• Grid Runners had some new festive-themed rooms in the event.
• Sky Battle's Candy Land map got some minor changes, prominently being the cobblestone fences (that were placed below the iron blocks) being replaced by iron fences instead.
• All the other maps in Parkour Tag and TGTTOSAWAF (with the exception of a brand new version of Cliff) remained the same, with the festive decorations included.
• Dodgebolt was renamed to "Snowbolt", same as with MCC 13, with the use of gloves and snowballs instead of bows and arrows.

Trivia

• The Teal Turkeys and Cyan Candy Canes swapped colours for this event (unlike in MCC 13).
  • Teal Turkeys replaced the Cyan team instead of the Aqua team.
  • The Cyan Candy Canes were renamed to Cerulean Candy Canes and replaced the Aqua team.
• The update video for this event was the first update video produced by OwengeJuice, a MCC R competitor and Noxcrew's new videographer.
• This is the third time in a row Survival Games was played as final game.
• Dream and Wilbur Soot were the only players to not wear a festive skin and was given a red "shame" sweater, with the words "SHAME" at the front and "GRUMP" at the back.
  • This is the second time Wilbur was given the red shame sweater.
• Despite not being in the event, Karl Jacobs made an appearance in Tubbo's livestream of the event.
  • Quackity also made an appearance in GeorgeNotFound's livestream of the event, during his UK trip.

Participation

• This event introduced only one new competitor, Slimecicle.
  • This event introduced Ryguyrocky back to the tournament, after his time in MCC P21.
• Punz used Callahan' skin to represent Red Reindeer.
• This was the first event that 5up and Antfrost did not play in since their respective debuts.
• This was the fourth regular event, after MCC 12, MCC 13, and MCC 16 where none of Dream, GeorgeNotFound, and Sapnap (i.e. the Dream Team) were teamed together, since their debuts.
• Before the official team announcements, TommyInnit accidentally leaked being teamed with Ph1LzA on stream using the same words “our team”, in the exact same manner as he did for his MCC 18 leak.
  • Tubbo was not allowed to know his team before they were announced to the public due to him leaking his teams too many times.
• Due to there being two themed events, Smajor1995 had asked multiple competitors whether they wanted to be in the Halloween event or festive event.
  • Multiple competitors including Krtzyy, Antfrost, PearlescentMoon, GizzyGazza, CaptainPuffy and TheOrionSound chose to participate in the Halloween event.
• Illumina mentions in a speedrun stream that he did not sign up since he assumed he was going to be in it so he rather have other people join the event.
  • His winning team of Krinios, Punz, and Eret from MCC 13 would all be in a team again. Instead of being in Teal Turkeys, they are all in Red Reindeers with GeorgeNotFound.
• Fruitberries was originally not going to participate since he mentioned in his alt Twitter account that he missed the signups for MCC 19. By the time he went to it on Monday the signups closed a few hours prior. Seapeekay mentioned the signups closed quickly.
  • He would be the first player to sub in and get 1st Individual in the event.
• With this event, Kara Corvus became the second person to play on every team color, after Smajor1995.

Statistics

• fruitberries is the first competitor to win two festive hub mini-games in a row, as well as the first person to win two hub minigames out of four.
• The Cerulean Candy Canes broke the record for multiplied coins in a single game, at 7950 in Survival Games.
  • They also broke the record for kills in Survival Games, at 16 kills.
• Sapnap set the current record for unmultiplied individual coins in Battle Box, at 630.
  • The previous record was also held by Sapnap in MCC 13, the previous festive event.
• In both festive events, the Teal Turkeys have won.
