The teams in MC Championship 24 (August 4-5, 2022)
MC Championship 24 was the twenty-ninth event of MC Championship. It took place on August 20, 2022, at 7 PM GMT (8 PM BST).[1] This event featured a Big Sales at Build Mart remix, Sands of Mart.

Changes
MC Championship 24 - Update video- Sands of Mart! (Minecraft Event)
The update video[2] was released a day prior to the event, focusing on the remixed version of Big Sales at Build Mart and a revised version of Mesa Madness in Sky Battle.
- A brand new remix, Sands of Mart, is introduced in this event, with the "Mart" set in a modified Sands of Time map.
- Mobs will spawn around the map to obstruct players, though they cannot die. Players can use the axe provided in the game to kill them, but the mobs will respawn.
- Grid Runners received two new rooms.
- Battle Box's map is changed back to Villa.
- Rocket Spleef Rush's Temple, Classic, and Journey are to be played.
- A redesigned Mesa Madness map for Sky Battle was introduced in this event, giving tighter space and many more pathing options throughout the map. More fighting areas are also provided in the ring around the centre of the map.
- The difficulty of the jump to reach Burgers But Fast stand in the hub has been lowered.

Trivia
- This is the first time Dream won on a team that isn't red or pink.
- Additionally, this was Dream's final appearance, as he announced on a Twitter space, that he will not be participating in any future events, due to rising skill levels (influenced by the release of MCC Island), no practicing time, and his careness of his skills in the event.
- Ace Race got restarted during the event due to many participants disconnecting.
- This is the second time this has ever happened, after Battle Box in MCC 7.
- Unlike the previous time, the coins achieved during the first round of the game weren't added to the lifetime coin total of the players. Lap and total times were also wiped.
- This is the second time this has ever happened, after Battle Box in MCC 7.
- This event was held on Shubble and cubfan135's birthday. They were given a customised birthday hat and a birthday space in the lobby.
- Prior to this event, MCC Island launched 6 hours before, debuting with four games (Battle Box, Hole in the Wall, Sky Battle, and To Get to the Other Side).
Participation
- This event introduced two new competitors, Hannahxxrose and AntVenom.
- This event welcomed back Skeppy, who hadn't played since MCC 14.
- Before the first half of the team announcements, Punz stated on his private account that he would not be participating in this event. This will be the first event he will miss since his debut in MCC 12.[3]
- During the first half of the team announcements, Smajor1995 revealed that Quig, Grian, and PeteZahHutt would not be participating in this event.[4]
- This marks the first time that PeteZahHutt is not in a regular event, barring technical issues in MCC 11 and MCC 15.
- This is the first event that Snifferish missed since their debut in MCC 21.
- This is the second time the Muffin Duo got featured in an event (consisting of BadBoyHalo and Skeppy).
- With Seapeekay being on the Lime Llamas, he is the fourth person to be in all 10 team colours in the event.
- This event's Cyan Coyotes is the third all-female team in MC Championship, after MCC 22's Yellow Yaks and MCC P22's Purple Pandas.
- All of those teams include jojosolos.
Statistics
- With this event, Dream became the third five-time winner of MCC, after HBomb94 and Sapnap.
- In the first round of Dodgebolt, Tubbo fell off the platform, making him the eighth person to do so.
