MC Championship 25 was the thirtieth event of MC Championship. It took place on September 24, 2022, at 7 PM GMT (8 PM BST).

Changes

MC Championship 25 - Update video- Battle Box Doom! (Minecraft Event)

The update video was released a day prior to the event, focusing on the new maps in Hole in the Wall and Battle Box, as well as minor changes.

• The event server was updated to Minecraft version 1.19.2.
• Ace Race's jump pads, launch pads, and speed boost pads were added to the hub.
  • MCC Island's advertisements were added across the hub.
• Parkour Tag's map was changed back to Plaza.
• Hole in the Wall had a new map introduced, Medieval, with a new platform.
• TGTTOSAWAF's Terra Swoop Force - Tunnel 1, Beehive, Shallow Lava, Pit, Skydive, and To The Dome! were played.
• Grid Runners received a brand new room, in addition to the 2 rooms that did not appear in the last event.
• Meltdown received a new fan center room, as well as an increase in the duration to be 5 minutes and 30 seconds.
• Battle Box got introduced a new map, Doooom!.
• Survival Games' map was changed back to World of Cars - Forest.
  • In addition, the world border would now decrease to a larger space for the last stand portion of the game, instead of just one block.
  • When the last stand begins, players' maximum health would now slowly decreases half a heart every 3 seconds, until players have only just one heart.

Trivia

• This event marked the first time that Sands of Time has been skipped in a regular event.

Participation

• This event welcomes VelvetIsCake to the main roster, who has not played since MCC P22.
• Before the team announcements, some players have stated their absences for this event.
  • InTheLittleWood confirmed on his tweet after MCC 24 that he would be missing the event as his wife NettyPlays will give birth to another baby. He also stated that he may not be in the next event in October based on how life plays out for him.
  • TommyInnit stated in a stream that he didn't sign up for this event due to him going to America. This was the first event he missed since his debut in MCC 2.
  • GeorgeNotFound missed this event due to him moving to America, and the Dream Team going to TwitchCon.
  • GeminiTay after MCC 24 said that she might be busy during the week of the event.
  • TapL has stated through his post on the tournament's unofficial subreddit that he didn't sign up due for him going to the Philippines and due for the event happening during his visit.
• This event is the second regular event that did not have any new players.
• With CaptainSparklez being on the Lime Llamas, he is the fifth person to be in all 10 team colours in the event.
• This event features the duo of Grian and Wilbur Soot (known as the "Socket Duo") for the first time in a regular event. They first teamed in MCC P21. jojosolos and Seapeekay are also considered by the community as the Second Socket Duo.
• This event is the first event where Sapnap was the only Dream Team member featured. This originally was supposed to happen in MCC 20, but Sapnap had to drop out due to his ear infection.
• This was the first event to not feature any of the previous event's winners (from MCC 24) Thus no player was not seen at the beginning with a winning crown like in previous events.

• With jojosolos finishing in first place individually, this is the first event a female player ranked the highest on the individual leaderboard.
• This event was the first event with three different ties for individual placements.
  • Sapnap and fruitberries tied for 2nd.
  • Ponk and Ranboo tied for 15th.
  • VelvetIsCake and vGumiho tied for 35th.
• The Green Geckos became the lowest-scoring winning team ever, scoring 18,298 coins. This was 215 coins less than the previous record, 18,513 coins, which was scored by the Yellow Yaks of MCC 24. This record would be broken by MCC 26's Violet Vampires.
• This event had the lowest coin difference between 1st and 40th place, with there being a total difference of 1,988 coins.
