MCC30-Teams

The teams in MC Championship 30 (April 13-14, 2023)

MC Championship 30 was the thirty-sixth event of MC Championship. It took place on April 29, 2023, at 8 PM BST.[1] This event introduced a Hole in the Wall remix from MCC AF, Hungry Hungry Hole in the Wall.

An unofficial transcript of the event was made by u/MrOrcaDood and others1 on Reddit, which can be found here.

MC Championship 30 - Update Video- Hungry Hungry Hole in the Wall! (Minecraft Event)

The update video[2] was released a day prior to the event, with some minor changes in games and the event.

  • For this event, the Noxcrew collaborated with the Make-A-Wish foundation, to grant a wish of 13-year-old Nalan to watch the event live on the event's server. Their favourite plushie, Firecracker, would also be featured as well at the entrance of the Decision Dome.
  • Ace Race's map is back to Turtle Run. However, this event onwards, alternate routes are introduced. These routes will replace some of the original ones in the map, and will change event-by-event.
  • Battle Box got a brand new map, Prison. This map also introduces more armour to the game, rather than only leather coloured boots.
    • Players can now jump down into the map and explore before the game starts.
  • Grid Runners got a brand new room.
  • Hole in the Wall's map was changed back to Medieval, with a new remix taken from MCC AF's changes in the same game, where players are constantly hungry, and have to eat food to survive in the game. However, there are some changes:
    • Players were given 5 steaks and 2 stacks of carrots, making the steaks very limited in comparison to the carrots.
    • No coins were awarded from eating vegetables.
  • Exclamation points are added to most of Meltdown's death messages, notably the ones that are environment-related, e.g. getting caught in a melting room.
  • Parkour Warrior received some changes:
    • Teleportation scrolls are now removed at the 30-second mark, instead of the 2-minute mark.
    • The endings for Medium and Hard were made easier, reducing the amount of challenges from 3 to 2. The ending for Easy is made harder, increasing the amount of challenges from 1 to 2.
    • The coins rewarded for each metal medals (bronze, silver, gold) had been slightly tweaked.
    • The ending multipliers for Medium and Hard endings were decreased.
  • In Sky Battle, Metro's vertical border limit is now higher, no longer discouraging players to go off from their tower.
    • The border damage is now reduced, allowing players to stay longer in the border.
    • Scoring was changed to award more on kills (40 coins, instead of 30 coins) and less in team placements, ranging from 65 coins to 5 coins.
