MC Championship Party 2 (also known as MCC PARTY 2) is the fifty-third event of MC Championship, and the eighth and last event of Season 4.[1] It took place in December 7, 2024 at 8 PM GMT.[2] This was also the final event of the year.
An unofficial transcript of this event can be found here. This was made by the community on Reddit.
Changes[]
MCC Party 2 - Time to Drop In!
The games and maps were initially teased in a teaser video of MCC Party 2 Briefing - For Your Eyes Only on December 3, 2024. The rest of the changes were announced in the update video[3] and the accompanying article[4], the day before the event.
General Changes[]
- Introduced Drop-In, a hub minigame, deciding the Dodgebolt match-up of the event.
- To find out more about the game, visit the Party Changes section.
- All games do not have a multiplier in this event, due to the nature of the Drop-In mini-game.
- The Main Hub has been decorated to match the winter theme of the month.
- The practice modes, timing mechanism, and a leaderboard for Parkour Warrior are now available in this event.
- The elevator in the Decision Dome was readded. The elevator is also functional, in a similar sense to the Terra Swoop Force map.
- Due to the nature of the Drop-In game, MCC Live would not display the Crowns each team earned for this event. These were displayed in-game instead.
- Players who do not use Noxesium would now have their players invisible in trident sections of Ace Race and trident maps in TGTTOSAWAF. This is to compensate the trident change made in MCC R3.
Game Changes and Maps Featured[]
- All the maps for this event are related to the timeline of MC Championship:
- Battle Box features the first map of the game, Classic.
- TGTTOSAWAF's maps are all from its Season 1 map roster. These include Basins, Doors, Pits, Skydive, Terra Swoop Force - Tunnel 1, and Walls.
- Sands of Time and Big Sales at Build Mart are featured in this event, in accordance to their Season 2 revamps.
- Grid Runners received new rooms that are related to the games that are not in the roster for this event.
- Meltdown is featured in this event, following Grid Runners debut in MCC 16.
- Hole in the Wall features the Medieval map, the map that debuted after Meltdown's debut.
- Survival Games features Survival Games 2.0 map, debuted in MCC AF.
- In addition, this event featured the "Overtime" system for the first time.
- Ace Race features Python's Palace map, the latest map of the game, debuted in MCC TRSD.
- An unknown tenth game will be featured in this event, forcefully played as part of the Noxcrew Takeover. This would then be revealed as Sky Battle. The game took place in Candy Land.
- Mobs spawned by a team now have their team icon visible on top of the spawned mobs. This was implemented earlier on MCC Island in an update prior to the event.
- Dodgebolt received an arrow indicator if a player holds an arrow. However, these were bugged.
- In most cases, lap times in Ace Race are now matched with the completion time, when added altogether. This problem would still happen to some players, e.g. PeteZahHutt, InTheLittleWood, etc.

Party Changes[]

This event will introduce a brand new hub minigame to determine the Dodgebolt match-up, Drop-In, a four in a row style board game.
- The goal is the same as MCC PARTY - get as many Crowns as possible.
- The two teams with the most Crowns will be in Dodgebolt.
- After each minigame, Tiles will be awarded, based on each team's performance in each game. Team would then insert Tiles to try and either:
- Have your Tiles stay on the board, or
- Make four-in-a-row connections, or
- Push their team or other team's Tiles off the board.
- To earn Crowns, teams have to either:
- Have their coloured Tiles stay until the end of each round of Drop-In, or
- Have their coloured Tiles pushed out of each of their own turn, or
- Make four-in-a-row (or more) connections of other teams' Tiles, or
- Use items to help with collecting Crowns from Tiles.
- At the end of each game in the event, teams will get to play Drop-In in order of their team placement in the game, starting from last place and moving up.
- All Tiles and items have to be used in each turn. Teams will forfeit their Tiles and items, if they are unused.
- Two games of Drop-In will be played.
- Game 1: Games 1-4
- Game 2: Games 5-8
- At the end of each Drop-In game, the Tiles will be counted and award Crowns for the Tiles on the board. The board would then reset for the next Drop-In game.
Tiles[]
Tiles can be earned through each game as well as from purchasing items. There are four types of Tiles:
- Standard Tiles - team-coloured Tiles, given at the end of each game. Worth 1 Crown.
- White Tiles - white Tiles, can be used to make four-in-a-row connections.
- Bonus Tiles - bonus team-coloured Tiles. Worth 3 Crowns.
- Trap Tiles - trap team-coloured Tiles, can be used to hinder other team's attempts of inserting the Tiles onto the board. If a team pushes them out, their team will get 2 Crowns stolen to the owners of the Tile.
There are numerous ways to get Tiles:
- At the end of each game, each team will get 1 Standard Tile and 1 White Tile for free.
- Each team will get 1 Standard Tile per 300 coins earned.
- Any leftover coins from each game that are not converted to Tiles will roll over to the next game.
- Teams can get Tiles from bonus objectives in each game.
- 1st place - 1 Bonus Tile and 1 Trap Tile
- 2nd place - 1 Standard Tile
- 3rd place - 1 Trap Tile
- Trap Tiles can be earned via purchasing in the item shop.
Tiles can be inserted on the top or on the sides of the board.
Earning Crowns[]
In detail, teams can earn Crowns by:
- Having their Standard or Bonus Tiles stay until the end.
- If a Tile stays in a 3x3 golden bottom right corner of the board, that Tile will worth twice.
- Having their Standard or Bonus Tiles pushed off the board, by themselves.
- Making a four-in-a-row (or more) connection, either vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, of the opposing team's Tiles or White Tiles.
- Connections of the same colour can be made, with the exception of Trap Tiles.
- Making a four-in-a-row (or more) connection of your own team colours will not count.
- Using a Yoink item to steal an opposing teams' Tile. Worth 1 Crown per use.
- Having an opposing team pushing away your team's Trap Tile.
Item Shop[]
There are three items that can be purchased, each costing a certain amount of Standard Tiles. Each team can carry one item of each kind per turn.
- Paintball (1 Standard Tile) - Convert a Standard Tile to a White Tile
- Trap Tile (2 Standard Tiles) - Used to hinder and potentially steal other team's Crowns
- Yoink! (3 Standard Tiles) - Steals an opposing team's Tile.
Trivia[]
- This will be the first event to have a "space" in the event abbreviation/key.
- This event's team announcements were posted on Bluesky for the first time. Those announcements were also released few minutes earlier than usual, due to no post schedule feature on Bluesky at the time.
- This event's annnouncements did not include the event "badge" for the first time since MCC 14.
- The blurring on the games announcement were heavier than previous ones in the past.
- This event marked the first time the Orange Ocelots won an event in 868 days, the previous win taking place all the way back in MCC 23.
- Some hints were given for the Noxcrew Takeover game of Sky Battle:
- The teaser in the MCC Party 2 Briefing - For Your Eyes Only video mentioned that the game would take place in a fan-favourite map.
- The game panel in the games announcement was slotted between Grid Runners and Meltdown, as the games were arranged chronologically based on the maps, significant game changes, and game debuts.
- Before the event, MC Championship Trading Card Game content creators and game details were revealed and promoted to the public, with the box dominantly featured Candy Land as the main art.
- This is the first event where a team's performance doesn't correlate to them placing higher overall (An example of this would be the Green Geckos finishing in tied last place despite placing 5th overall in coins and the Yellow Yaks finishing 4th overall despite placing 8th overall in coins).
- As a result of this, MCC Party 2 is the second event to feature a team winning that did not qualify in the top 2, following the Lime Llamas from MCC AF finishing 9th and winning due to the format of the event.
- If this event was instead played with a normal coin leaderboard with the usual multipliers, the Cyan Coyotes would remain in 1st with a coin total of 21,649, however 2nd place would instead go to the Aqua Axolotls with a coin total of 20,229, with the Orange Ocelots being knocked to 3rd with 18,897 total coins.
Participation[]
- This event featured two newcomers: AQUINO and Soarinng.
- Before the team announcements, AQUINO confirmed that he would be participating in the event with an all Spanish-speaking team, including Shadoune666.[7]
- This event introduced BdoubleO100, Capitan Gato, and BadBoyHalo back in the event, since MCC 27, MCC 32, and MCC TR respectively.
