The teams in MC Championship Rising 2 (August 16-17, 2023)

MC Championship Rising 2 (also known as MCC R2) was the forty-first event of MC Championship, and the second event in the Rising series. Same as with the first Rising event, all the teams consist of creators who had never played in any event before. It took place on August 26, 2023, at 8 PM BST.

Changes

MCC Rising 2 - Update Video- ALL the Games! (Minecraft Event)

The update video was released a day prior to the event, summarising the games to be played in the event.

• Battle Box's map is changed back to Villa, one of the maps not available on MCC Island at the time.
• Big Sales at Build Mart got a slight change.
• Bingo but Fast got a scoring change, in which coins are now awarded for 6th-10th completions instead of locking them out. Scoring were also changed to accommodate this.
• Meltdown's centre room is changed back to the "stool" centre room.
• Rocket Spleef Rush's Classic, Santorini and Temple were revealed to be the maps for this event.
• Sky Battle's map is changed back to Mesa Madness.
• Survival Games's map is changed back to Millionaire Mansions 2.
• TGTTOSAWAF's Pit, Shallow Lava, Terra Swoop Force - Tunnel 1, To The Dome!, Train, and Walls were revealed as the maps to be played.
  • In additions to this, the "fans" at the end are replaced with MCC R participants.

Substitutions

•  Aqua Axolotls: Originally, the team consisted of Nebular, SandwichLord, PhazeRay, and EmilyBeNormal. However, they withdrew from the event due to controversies regarding EmilyBeNormal. Despite this, Nebular, SandwichLord, and PhazeRay were still allowed to be on the Rising practice server.

All the 14 games available in the games roster were in the Decision Dome for this event only, meaning that 6 games will not be chosen to be played in this event. As a result, Bingo but Fast, Hole in the Wall, Parkour Tag, Parkour Warrior, Sky Battle, and TGTTOSAWAF were skipped in this event.

Trivia

• Not counting the recoding of the event in early Season 2, this is the first time since MCC 13, that all games are available in the event.
  • In addition to this, Skyblockle is confirmed to officially be retired after its time in MCC AF.
• This event was the first time that there was no audience poll for the fifth game. Instead, once a game is chosen, that game slot in the Decision Dome is filled back up with a new one in the next round of voting.
• In comparison to MCC R, this event featured an admin stream.
• Four players from this event were invited back for other events:
  • Acho, Apokuna, Hrry, and Sarahsera were invited to participate in MCC P24.

Participation

• Despite the event being for newcomers, this event welcomed back Hrry and Ravs from MCC JJ.

Statistics

• acho ties the most kills in Survival Games with 8 kills, matching the most kills by both Sapnap and Fruitberries.
• Two point records were broken for Rocket Spleef Rush in this event.
  • The unmultiplied individual coin record set by Purpled in MCC 26 (757) was broken by apokuna, who scored 765 unmultiplied coins.
  • The unmultiplied team coin record set by the Yellow Yaks in MCC 21 (1679) was broken by the Blue Bats, who scored 1997 unmultiplied coins.
