MC Championship Scuffed (also known as MC Championship April Fools, abbreviated as MCC AF) was the thirty-fifth event of MC Championship. It took place on April 1, 2023, at 8 PM BST.[1] This event is an April Fools event.
An unofficial transcript of the event was made by u/MrOrcaDood and others1 on Reddit, which can be found here.
Main Changes
The update video[2] was released a day prior to the event. To see the changes made to the update video, see this section. The update video does not cover the majority of the changes in the event.
For game-specific changes, see each game section for details.
- All coins are now rounded down to its nearest coin, per each player, per round. This affected round-based games, such as Battle Box, where a team may lead another with a single coin, even though they are technically tied. This is a permanent change.
- The Main Hub has the main logo made similar to a graffiti. The hub is also made to not be floating anymore.
- The hub is surrounded by nether brick walls.
- Parkour was added to the Main Hub. At the end, players would see a build with a message, "Congratz".
- The event name in the sidebar is "MCC Championship Scuffed" instead of the proper name of "MC Championship Scuffed".
- The Hall of Fame top 10 player standings have their player NPCs rotated around.
- All the Main Hub music are in lower quality and has kazoo as their main melody.
- The "One Minute to MCC!" song contains voices of Epic_Landlord, the tournament's music composer.
- There is no elevator in the Decision Dome.
- Games that are Season 1-exclusive (old Big Sales at Build Mart, Bingo But Fast, and Skyblockle) use the original sidebar scoreboard in very early events. With an exception of Big Sales at Build Mart, their game logos are also purposely made worse than other games in the current games roster.
- All the textures for Bingo But Fast and Skyblockle are old textures from old Minecraft versions.
- Eating a fruit or vegetable will give players one unmultiplied coin.
- At the end of the event, a chicken infection began. When a chicken player attacks a non-infected player, they would become a chicken.
- This has been an original idea since the beginning of the tournament.

- To help aid with navigation, blocks and pickaxes are given to all players. Players can only break down the blocks that are placed by either themselves or other teams.
- Elytras can now be found in chests again.

- This game is forced to be played for the fifth round.
- An Audience Blockout vote was done to select the modifiers for the game. This includes Darkness, Slow Falling, Speed, and Jump Boost. This poll, however, does not matter. Instead, the Noxcrew randomly decides a modifier for each round, pretending the poll 'broke'.
- Players now take fall damage in the game.
- For Breakdown, the routes were re-assigned to not allow certain players who study the routes to out perform other players.
- At the start of the map, a sign with the text 'Hi Seepykay, we changed the routes for you! -Noxcrew' confirmed this while also calling out Seapeekay for studying the map.
- The music for this game is the music from Hole in the Wall. The Parkour Warrior music is played for To The Dome! map.

- All the signs are pictures made from MS Paint.
- The "Lost-and-found" section is implemented at the end of the mart, containing some blocks in the normal mart area and blocks that are not originally in the map.
- There is a random farmland block in the Flowers section. This is for carrots that can be obtained to gather coins for the team by eating healthy food.

- No more than one team can win a round. This means that if there's a side left standing and that the side contains 2 teams, then they would have to shoot each other for the side to have only a team remaining. This was not intentional.
- Noxite randomly spawned a frog in the middle of the game. This frog was named "Felix".

Scuffed Event Changes
These are all the changes that were made for this scuffed event, from the event announcement to the update video. This does not include changes made to the actual event.
Team Announcements
- The order of the teams announcement is not the same as normal. The order of the team is first announced on the MCC Discord, but was not followed through after the third team. The table in the teams section reflects the order of the teams released.
- The first audience poll for the teams were all Red Rabbits. The second poll was non-existent, instead the tweet asked for replies to "vote".
- All the player icons are done by Smajor1995, except for himself.
- The event icon and its respective graphics were changed team-by-team. The position of the logo of the event also changed team-by-team.
- Some player names were purposely misspelled: FireBreathMan being "WaterBreathMan", SolidarityGaming being "MrGaming", Smallishbeans being "Largishbeans", Grian being "Grain", TheOrionSound being "TheOnionSound", TapL being "TapW", Seapeekay being "Peapeekay", and Ranboo being "Rabnoo".
- Some team announcements images have white lines beneath them.
Games Announcement
- The picture is a parody of a Shutterstock image. The picture is also heavily desaturated.
- Four of the tiles are Big Sales at Build Mart.
- Every single picture is from Big Sales at Build Mart, despite the names of some of the games not being said so. These do not match the actual event's maps.
- The Survival Games icon in the first Big Sales at Build Mart tile is not in the same size as with others. The icon also does not match the game name.
- There are two Sands of Time icons in the game's tile, one smaller one and one larger one.
- The corner graphics of the photo are either the same, or angled slightly. They are also not the same size as each other.
Update Video Changes
- Even though the update video claims that there are massive important changes, none were mentioned in the update video apart from the restock of the Season coin on the merch website.
- The thumbnail of the video is a very zoomed in version of the logo, with the logo elements being all over the place.
- The video was made as scuffed as possible with Noxite and Smajor1995 rushing through the script while somebody is banging in the background. The script was supposedly sent by Skype to Smajor1995.
- Throughout the video, the watermark of mcc.live was shown at the top of the screen, parodying Bandicam watermarks.
- A "cam" command was shown to be executed at the beginning shot of the video. This shot's render distance is also lowered.
- During the hub parkour footage, the user interface of VLC media player can be seen.
- Some footages were recorded via player screen-recording instead of using the Replay mod.
- The segment promoting the MCC Season Coin was done in Photoshop.
- The update video was ended abruptly.
Trivia
- The logo for this event is done via a 1:1 square ratio instead of the traditional 16:9 rectangle ratio. The logo is made in the most "scuffed" way as possible.
- FalseSymmetry played on an alt account, 'truesymmetry', during the tournament.
- The kazoo music gag was done before by Epic_Landlord in MCC AS's elevator joke. He has also done this in the Noxcrew Gameshow for Yogscast's Jingle Jam 2018 before where he played various music tracks (including the main Decision Dome theme) using a kazoo and a keyboard introducing the forfeits in the gameshow.[3]
- Antfrost is the player who have the most amount of food items eaten in this event, with 152 food items.
- This event is the first event to feature Decision Dome changes mid-event, not including the planned game additions in the sixth round of voting. The functionality to manipulate the Decision Dome was added in MCC 29.
- This was the fifth event to feature only 8 minigames in the Decision Dome dial, meaning every one available had to be played, despite the fact that three games were forced to be played in games 1, 5, and 8.
- This is the first time that Lime Llamas won an event.
- Players who win this event received a special "coin", which is a piece of cardboard with drawings of a typical MCC coin. The drawings were done by Smajor1995, and are unique to each other.[4]
Participation
- This event welcomes back fWhip, ConnorEatsPants, and Skeppy, who last played in MCC 21, MCC 23, and MCC 24 respectively.
