Changes
MC Championship - Season 4 Kick-Off Update Video
The update video[2] was released a day prior to the event, focusing on new Season 4 additions and core changes to some of the games and the event.
General Changes
- The event now uses the new game engine from MCC Island.
- The game announcement chat messages are now mainly light blue instead of white, except for the Decision Dome.
- Game icons are now also indicated besides each game announcement chat message.
- Team placements ties are now indicated clearly in the scoreboard.
- The Main Hub is now re-located to a jungle island, and received significant changes.
- The main beach area is now gated, and is accessible only during event times.
- Designated build stages for teams are introduced. Players can now log on to the server to build their stages before the event. These are featured in the team introductions, and will be featured in the The Walk of Fame and the Hall of Fame, if they win.
- A Sumo minigame and a Dodgebolt practice area are introduced to the server.
- The Hall of Fame got a brand-new design, and is now accessible before the event.
- The elevators in the Decision Dome have been removed.
- As with the event being held on May 4th, all swords are "light swords".
- A "Kudos" system is now implemented. At the end of each game, a message will appear for each player, if they do well in certain statistics of each game, including records.
- Tutorial screens are introduced, explaining each game before each game. This replaced the long tutorial texts at the beginning of each game.
- The elimination graphics now indicate the team icon and the player icon (if Noxesium is installed) besides the eliminated player, instead of just colour.
- The countdown at the beginning of the event is increased from 2 minutes and 30 seconds to 4 minutes. This is to accommodate the new team introductions feature.
- MCC Live got a new predictions system, where viewers can predict on which team comes out on top in each game and the event. The prediction with the most votes and the percentage of the correct prediction are reported in-game.
