Structure and Formatting

These are the structure formatting guidelines when it comes to the MCC wiki. This is to help keep the consistency throughout the wiki. This can change from time to time, based on feedback and circumstances.

Naming and Dictionary

  • MCC stands for MC Championship. See MC Championship#Trivia page for details.
  • A MCC is typically referred to as an event. All events that are held are referred to as tournament.
    • Example cases: MCC 28 is an event. MCC 26 and MCC 28 are events. MC Championship is a tournament.
  • Category of events (i.e. canon, non-canon, half-canon) is often referred to as a series.
    • Example cases: He joined the canon event series in MCC 25.
  • The group of players in the tournament is often called as the roster.
  • When an event is mentioned, use the {{MCC}} template, to link the event page. See Template:MCC

Player Pages

  • In general, when referring to the player themselves in a page, it is recommended to use their pronouns instead of by username or name that they go to.
    • Example: If Pete is referred to in the trivia section of his page, use "he" instead of his name.

Beginning

  • The beginning of each page should have the {{Player}} template inserted, with details described in the infobox section below, or refer to Template:Player
  • Quotes can be added after, referring to a specific quote a player has said in an event. See Template:Quote
  • The starting line format should always be:
    <name> is a <status> competitor in MC Championship...
    • The name should be the title of the page and include any other names that they are often referred to in brackets.
      • Example cases: Smajor1995 (Scott), Krtzyy (Dave)
    • The status of a competitor should be based from the Players page guidelines.
    • Any information related to MC Championship, e.g. involving in the tournament, should be addressed after this line. Elsewise, addressed what they are typically known for.
      • Example cases:
        • Smajor1995 (Scott), otherwise known DangThatsALongName, is the official co-organiser for the tournament alongside Noxite as well as a recurring competitor in MC Championship.
        • TapL (Harvey) is a recurring competitor in MC Championship, who is known for his UHC challenges videos....
  • The paragraphs at the top of the page should contain information about the player, from the content they produced to what they are typically known for. Then followed by their first appearance in MC Championship and any notable wins or moments.

Tournament History

The tournament history should contain the following fields for each event.

  • Event = the event that the player participates in.
  • Team = the team icon of the team that a player is in for the event.
  • Teammates = the teammates of the team that a player is in.
  • Team Result = the team placement and coins that the team get
  • Individual Result = the individual placement and unmultiplied coins that a player get

Trivia

Any information, records, or fun facts about a player should be noted here. Any huge chunk of information about a player, e.g. Sapnap's Dodgebolt fun facts, should be put into separate sections to avoid cluttering of the section itself.

Skins Used

Any skins that a player used in the event should be listed here as a gallery:

<gallery widths="175" spacing="small" perrow="4">
Player-X.png|{{MCC|X}}
</gallery>
  • X signifies the event
  • A recommended source of skin screenshot is namemc.com.

End of Page

An infobox {{Players}} should be inserted alongside any categories:

  • If a player is identified in any LGBTQ+ group, they should be in the Category:LGBTQ+ Players.
  • Any half-canon/non-canon players should be categorised in the event's respective category, e.g. Category:MC Championship Rising Players
  • Any winners should be categorised in Category:Winners. If a player has two wins, they should be categorised in Category:2x Winners, and vice versa.
  • If a player has their first letter being lowercase, the page title could display their lowercase via {{lc}} template.
