MC Championship Wiki
MC Championship Wiki

These rules are what we expect when it comes to editing the wiki as well as in the discussion pages of the wiki. Any rules broken will result in a warning, followed by blocks, with length depending on the severity of the situation. (some may be blocked immediately)

It is encouraged to reach out to any of the active staff members. If there's any concerns, regarding the rules, content of the wiki, edit wars, etc, please do so via the staff members' message walls.

To see the policies (Page Creation and Protection) of the wiki, here.

Note: These rules are also effective in MCC Island Wiki. Please also be aware that any punishments in any of the wiki will be shared amongst both.

  • Respect fellow editors and competitors on the wiki
    • Harassment in any form will not be tolerated, including other editors, administrators or people engaging in discussion forums in the wiki. Please be respectful and keep the discussion and edits civil.
  • Respect fellow editors and competitors' sexuality and background
    • Edits or discussion that are deemed homophobic or racist are not allowed and not tolerated by any means. Any breach of this rule will result in an indefinite block, in order to keep the wiki a safe place for everyone.
  • No Page Griefing
    • This includes ruining an already good page, inserting content that is unrelated, or blanking out the page without any reasons.
    • Pages may be protected if the griefing becomes too frequent. These can include: former topics page (exception being previous events), player pages and any page that has been griefed recently.
    • Edit wars (undoing and redoing back and forth) are not allowed. The editors involved may be given a warning or a block, if they continue.
    • No false information are to be inserted in this wiki. This also include the message wall and the discussion forum.
    • Any information that is deemed "sensitive" (e.g. competitor's participation in the event) should have a solid reference to the source of the information. Tweets are only allowed from the competitors themselves (with a good context behind), Smajor1995 and the main MC Championship Twitter.
    • Any information that does not have a reference will be removed immediately. This rule is strictly enforced to prevent any confusion amongst the MCC community. Be reminded that you are responsible for all the content you put on in the wiki.
  • No Explicit Language (Swear Words) or Slurs
    • No such words are allowed to respect the family-friendly nature of the event.
    • Any swear words that are part of a quote (e.g. Michaelmcchill's Ace Race rant) should be censored appropriately.
    • This rule extends to the discussion forums of the wiki.
  • No Unrelated Content
    • Any content that is not a part of the tournament should not be posted to keep the wiki on-topic.
    • Exceptions of this include: the trivia section of each player, background details of each player, and Noxcrew MCC-related projects.
    • Mentions of other Minecraft events should be kept minimal and only serve as background information about the player. An exception will be made if the tournament has collaborated with other Minecraft events.
    • Any content that is related to MCC Island, including its games should be in the MCC Island Wiki.
  • No Duplicating Pages
    • Any page that already exists should not be duplicated.
    • Redirect pages are allowed, as long as they are reasonable. (e.g. redirecting Minecraft Usernames to an actual player page)
  • No Recreating Deleted Pages
    • Any page that is already deleted should not be recreated, unless there is a good solid reason of why they are recreated in the first place.
  • No Advertising
    • Strictly no advertising in this wiki. This does not include competitors' social media, Noxcrew links, and the MCC Island Wiki.
    • Advertising is only allowed if it is on your profile page. Excessive advertising on your profile page are, however, not allowed.
    • Any loopholes regarding this rule, (e.g. advertising on the summary of your edits) will result in a punishment.
  • No Opinionated Pages
    • Please keep all the opinions in the discussion forums or other social media, rather than creating pages about them. These pages will be deleted.
  • Match the Wiki Expectations
    • This includes basic grammer, spelling and more.
    • English spellings of certain words (British or American) are allowed.
    • Minor topics that are not important should only be addressed in a section of a particular page. These include special moments, unimportant details, too specific topics, and more.
  • Sockpuppeting, when used to block evade is not allowed
    • Any sockpuppet accounts that block evades the original accounts are not allowed on this wiki by all means. If we suspect any sockpuppeting (both on the MC Championship wiki and other fandom wiki), we deserve the right to block that account immediately. If you were in the crossfire of this, you can appeal and prove that you are not by discussing with the staff members on the message walls or any other way.
  • Impersonation of any participants, Noxcrew members, or well-known figures is not allowed
    • Any accounts that are suspected as impersonation will be immediately blocked. If any of the above wanted to be given a rank on the wiki, please directly message (Discord, not the message wall) any of the adminstrators or bureaucrats, to discuss further.

Please be aware that any punishments in any of the wiki will be shared amongst the two wikis.
