Rocket Spleef was a PVP/Minigame hybrid game in MC Championship. It is one of the original 8 games in MCC 1.
It was replaced in Season 2 with an updated version, Rocket Spleef Rush, and new mechanics introduced.
Official Description[]
A unique take on the classic Minecraft mini-game of Spleef! Last team standing will win the most coins. All players are armed with elytras, fireworks and… rocket launchers! The rocket launchers will launch rockets that knockback players and destroy terrain.
As the terrain starts disappearing, it becomes harder and harder for players to survive! Coins are awarded every time a player falls and you’re still alive, for eliminating an opponent (last person to hit them before they fall), and for surviving the entire round.
Description and Goal[]
Rocket Spleef is essentially spleef with rockets. You are given a shovel which shoots fireballs (and hits people) and an elytra to glide with, as well as ONE firework rocket which can save you from falling into the void. Once you fall into the void, you are out. Coins are earned for every time a player falls, for every person you kill, and for surviving until the end of the round. The game takes place across 3 rounds of a variety of map.
Since MCC 6, there is a round called TNT Time (lasting for the final 2 minutes). It removes your firework and you must dodge TNT as it falls on the map.
Coin Rewards[]
- 4
if someone dies and you're still alive.
- 10
if you were the last to hit them before they die.
- 100
are rewarded to a player if they last until the end of a round. However, these will not be rewarded to anyone if players from multiple different teams survive.

Trivia[]
- This is the first game made for the tournament.[1]
- In MCC 3, Wilbur Soot found an infinite fly glitch. This meant the server thought he was walking while the client thought he was flying. This caused him to always be continually in flight mode.
- This was later replicated by InTheLittleWood and SolidarityGaming in MCC 5, and both Ph1LzA and Quackity in MCC 11.
- This bug has presumably been patched or banned, as it was not used in MCC 12 or MCC 13
- This was the very first game to be chosen in Audience Takeover (due to Technoblade encouraging his viewers to vote for it).
- This has the second most maps of any game.
- This was the game where TommyInnit said "just killed a woman, feeling good!" after killing Katherine Elizabeth.
- This is the first game to be chosen twice for Audience Takeovers.
- PeteZahHutt called this game PVF, meaning: Player vs Floor.
- Only five people have survived all 3 rounds of a Rocket Spleef game: PeteZahHutt in MCC 3, 4 and 7, Ph1LzA in MCC 4, 5 and 11, FalseSymmetry in MCC 4, Fundy in MCC 11 and Grian in MCC 11.
- From MCC 4 to MCC 11, Ph1LzA survived 11/12 rounds of when the game is played.
