To Get to the Other Side and Whack a Fan (or TGTTOSAWAF, for short) is a parkour/minigame game in MC Championship. It was one of the original 8 games in MCC 1.
This game has many name variations in its history, to reflect the end goal of each round in the game:
- TGTTOS (To Get To The Other Side) - from MCC 1 to MCC 5, MCC TR, MCC EC, MCC R3 and MCC TRSD
- TGTTOSAWAF (To Get To The Other Side And Whack A Fan) - from MCC 6 onwards
- TGTTOSAWAMCCP (To Get To The Other Side And Whack An MC Championship Participant) - in MCC R[1]
- TGTTOSAWAMCCPWHNWAEY (To Get To The Other Side And Whack An MC Championship Participant Who Has Not Won An Event Yet) - in MCC AS[2]
Official Description[]

Alternate Game Logo
The aim of To Get to the Other Side (and Whack a Fan) is obvious… The game plays out in six rounds across six different maps. All players start on one end of the map and are given various tools to assist them in getting to the other side. Once they’ve made it across, they must punch a fan (one of you!) to complete their goal!
Since sabotage is a part of this game, expect plenty of chaos!
Goal and Description[]
This game has a simple objective, get to the other side of the map and whack a NPC at the end. Players will have to use various methods to get to the other side, from speed-bridging to elytra-flying.
Each map has different ways to get to the other side. Some maps may provide players with some items to help sabotage other opponents. Players can punch off other players as they wish.
There are 6 rounds for this game, with each round lasting a minute and 30 seconds.
Karma System[]
The karma system, introduced in MCC 31, gives players debuffs and buffs (in terms of knockback) when they either punch a player or get punched by another.
- If a player gets punched more, that player will take less knockback.
- If a player punches more, that player will take more knockback. These players will have red particles emitting around them if they have low karma.
As the game goes on, each player's karma status will slowly go back to normal.
Coin Rewards[]
- 40
are rewarded for the player who finishes 1st, decreasing by 1
per lower placement.
- There are additional bonuses for the first ten players who finish:
- Team bonuses are also awarded for the first four teams to finish, shared amongst team members:
Remixes[]
- Main article: Game Remixes
TGTTOSAWAF has been remixed four times in its lifetime.
- Pride series (MCC P22 onwards) - To Get to the Other Stack: Players can right-click any other player to create a very tall player tower as they complete the course; players who get stacked can not place any blocks.
- MCC R3 - Reversed TGTTOS: Players have to go from the original finishing area to the original start of five of the six maps.

- This is not including MCC R's Pink Parrots, who got the first team bonus 4 times.
- If the team bonus had been implemented before MCC 6, the MCC 4 Purple Pandas and MCC 5 Yellow Yaks would have gotten it with a record of 4 times.
- In MCC 15, Illumina became one of only two players to place 1st overall without earning any team bonuses, with Purpled later doing the same in MCC 29 (excluding MCCs before the addition of team bonuses).
- Purpled holds the most records for fastest map completion with 11 records: Shallow Lava, To The Dome!, Skyscraper, Siege, Badlands, Passing, Train, Industry, Water Park, Las Vegas and Skydive.
- MCC 11's Round 6 was the only round since the introduction of team bonuses where no full team completed the map.
- This is not including MCC JJ, where 3/6 rounds did not have a full team completion.
- In MCC PARTY 2, the overall winners are tied between Feinberg and Purpled.
Fans[]
- Prior to MCC 4, this game's objective is to punch a chicken to complete each course. From MCC 4 onwards, this was changed to fans of the event, with the skins submitted via a form in that time as an April Fools joke.
- In MCC 10, the fans at the end were players from the viewer teams.
- In MCC 18, the fans at the end were 8 players from the 2 backup teams in MCC R, including Beautie_, Bearbubb, Carvs, Guqqie, NathanLIVE, Snifferish, TheJonathon, and YegsTV.
- In MCC P22, the fans at the end were the players who were not in the event.
- In MCC PARTY 2, some of the fans are replaced with Mega Chicken, as a hidden bonus objective.
- In other events, the fans at the end were based on the objective of the game itself (mentioned above).
- Since changing the objective to fans, there were submitted skins of the event's roster, who could ended up being punched by the players themselves:
