The teams in The Ender Cup (July 18-19, 2024)
The Ender Cup was the forty-ninth event of MC Championship. It took place on July 27, 2024 at 6 PM BST.[1] This event was a part of a collaboration between the tournament and Minecraft, as part of Minecraft's 15th Anniversary.[2]

Bedrock Server Event[]

The MCC Cape, obtained from completing all challenges in the bedrock server event
In conjunction with the event, a two-week server event for Minecraft Bedrock was introduced, running from Monday, July 22, 2024 at 6 PM BST to Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 11 PM BST.[3]
- The server event featured four MCC games, Ace Race, Grid Runners, Sands of Time, and Meltdown. Each of the game is modified to be played individually. However, you can see other players in the same server. The format for each game was as follows:
- Ace Race: Players race to get the best time in a course. In contrast to the event's version, the Launch Pad auto deploys in the direction a player looks at. Trident sections are also not included in the course. Players can also earn medals for completing the course in a certain time, ranging from Copper to Netherite.
- Grid Runners: Each player in a game session completes objectives as many times as possible. There are three objectives: killing waves of mobs, replicating paintings using paint and paintbrushes, and baking cakes. The more these objectives are completed, the more coins each player would earn. Each room lasts for 60 seconds.
- Meltdown: Each player in a game session tries to kill mobs spawning around a melting facility, using freeze bows, as many as possible, while surviving a melting facility. Mobs can be killed by freezing and punching them, earning coins when killed. Coin piles can also spawn around the facility as well. Each room lasts for 105 seconds (except the first room lasting for 90 seconds), and would starting melting down at around 30 seconds left, with 5 seconds per melting state of the room.
- Sands of Time: Players try to gather as much coins as possible via coin piles, mobs, and chests scattered around the map. Chests would require keys to unlock them, which would also give a large amount of coins when unlocked. Players can top up time with sand blocks scattered around the map. However, players are not required to go back to spawn and top up the timer with sand blocks.
- Each game would reward players with an in-game currency, to be used to purchase cosmetics and gadgets.
- An official MC Championship Cape could be unlocked from this event. To earn this cape, players must complete 15 different challenges over the course of the event.
- Ten challenges were "mascot" challenges, where players must wear a beanie of a certain faction (cost 250
each) and complete the objective associated with that beanie.
- Four challenges were "game" challenges, where players must complete the objective associated to that game.
- The last challenge was a cryptic challenge, where daily clues are given in the first seven days of the event. The goal of this is to decipher and figure what to do to complete the challenge.
- This cape was exclusive for Bedrock Edition, until July 20, when Avondale and Mojang announced that the cape would be ported to Java Edition on August 5.[4][5]
- Ten challenges were "mascot" challenges, where players must wear a beanie of a certain faction (cost 250

Trivia[]
- This is the first event to be held at 6 PM UK Time.
- This is the first event to have its own dedicated homepage.[7]
- This is also the third event with a central stream, with the previous two being Twitch Rivals events.
- This event is one of the events where Smajor1995 did not make the teams.
- All the players, including the reserves, received a jersey (similar to Twitch Rivals events) as part of being involved in the event.
- Prior to the event, most of the players (including the reserves) made a short video advertising the event.
- This is the third event after the previous two events (MCC TR and MCC TRE) from the Twitch Rivals series, where the winning team gets a physical prize for each winning players, this time being the Ender Cup itself.
- This is the 6th event to have no update video (the others being MCC 1, MCC 2, MCC 3, MCC 5 and MCC JJ). Instead, a short video with clips from the games was posted to the Noxcrew YouTube channel.[8]
- Most of the music from the main stream would later be featured on MCC Island as the hub music and the fishing game music in its fishing update.
Participation[]
- This event featured:
- 2 newcomers - Aphmau and Blaustoise.
- 2 returnees from MCC 27 and MCC TR respectively - DisguisedToast and ItzMasayoshi.
- 4 returnees from their recent Pride series events - Piso, soupforeloise, Sykkuno, and xChocoBars.
- This event introduced DanTDM, Katherine Elizabeth, and LDShadowLady back to the tournament since their time in MCC 27, MCC 14, and MCC AF respectively.
- This event is the third event to feature a concrete reserves pool, in the case that anyone from the original roster has to sub out. The reserves are as follows:
- From the regular roster - OwengeJuice.
- From MCC R2 - 4CVIT, Legundo, Lynrose, Midmysticx, Millkberry, PhazeRay (part of the original Aqua Axolotls team), and WadeBox.
- From MCC JJ, MCC R2, and MCC P24 - Hrry.
- From MCC TRE - SandwichLord (also part of the original MCC R2 Aqua Axolotls).
Statistics[]
- With her event win in this event, PearlescentMoon is the seventh player to win two events back-to-back, in terms of her participation (MCC P24 and MCC EC).
- This is the fourth time that the winning team didn't have any players placing top 5 individually, the others were MCC 14, MCC 28 and MCC 29.
- fruitberries broke the record for the highest amount of coins earned in a single event by one individual, getting 4,403 coins, a record set by Technoblade all the way back in MCC 4.
- Purpled also broke the record by getting 4,385 coins.
- fruitberries is the second player to survive and won all 3 rounds of Sky Battle.
